How it works

RoadSift doesn't sell cars. It searches the adverts already out there, reads the official MOT record behind them and tells you honestly which one is the stronger buy.

    We search live adverts

    Every search hits the big UK sites in real time — Gumtree, eBay Motors, CarGurus, Cazoo — plus independent forecourts near you.

  2. 02

    Dodgy adverts get binned

    Damaged, salvage, spares-or-repair and non-running cars are removed automatically, and only dealer and garage stock is shown.

  3. 03

    We read the MOT history

    Where we can find the registration, RoadSift pulls the official DVSA MOT record and turns advisories and failures into plain-English risk: corrosion, brakes, suspension, recurring faults and mileage sanity checks.

    You check and go

    Shortlist up to five cars and RoadSift ranks them side by side on price, age, mileage and MOT risk — then sends you straight to the original advert.

Scores are guidance, not a guarantee. Always view a car in person, check the MOT history and paperwork, and never send money before you've seen it.
